Friction-Melt Balm for Heat, Exposure, and Insect Pressure
Ingredients: Beeswax (low-temp steam processed), shea butter, coconut oil, jojoba oil, raspberry seed oil, carrot seed oil, sesame seed oil, sea buckthorn oil, neem oil, non-nano zinc oxide (<3%), arrowroot powder, peppermint essential oil, eucalyptus essential oil, citronella essential oil, vitamin E.
Overview
Summer Balm is built for the conditions where skin works hardest: heat, sweat, light, and insects.
It uses the same dense, friction-melt base as Sun Balm, then layers in botanical oils traditionally used to discourage insects during outdoor exposure.
The result is a firm balm that stays intact on skin through movement and heat, spreads dry, and avoids the residue, spray drift, or sharp solvents common in bug repellents.
This is not sunscreen or pesticide. It’s material logic applied to summer conditions.
What It Does
Helps reduce moisture loss during prolonged heat and outdoor exposure
Maintains a stable barrier layer through sweat and friction
Creates a botanical surface profile that insects tend to avoid
Spreads clean, sets dry, and stays where applied
Why It’s Different
Shared Sun Balm base: carotenoid-rich oils chosen for light and heat stability
Botanical pressure system: neem, citronella, peppermint, and eucalyptus added for scent-based insect avoidance
Low-temp construction: wax and oils never overheated, preserving structure
Friction-melt behavior: firm in the jar, controlled on skin, no pooling or drip
No water phase: shelf-stable, non-microbial, and travel-safe
Best For
Outdoor work, hiking, camping, gardening, and long summer days where heat and insects overlap.
Designed to replace separate lotion and spray for people who prefer a solid, controlled application.
How to Use
Warm a small amount between fingers and apply a thin layer to exposed or high-contact areas.
Reapply as needed during extended outdoor activity.
Note: Summer Balm does not claim SPF or insect repellency ratings.
Carotenoids protect the balm from sunlight, antioxidants protect it from oxidation, and botanicals shape how the balm presents itself outdoors.
